If you love the ocean, warm weather, and good vibes, you’ll love Taghazout.

It’s a small surf town on the coast of Morocco, near Agadir. The people are super friendly, the sunsets are beautiful, and the waves? Perfect for surfing, whether you’re just starting or already experienced.

What Surfing in Taghazout Feels Like

Every morning, you wake up to the sound of the sea. You grab your board, walk to the beach, and paddle out. There are many surf spots nearby. Some are calm for beginners, others are faster and more fun for advanced surfers.

The most famous spots are:

Anchor Point: long, clean waves (great for advanced surfers).

Panoramas: soft and easy (great for beginners).

Hash Point: fun and super close to the town.

The best part is that the ocean is always close. You can surf in the morning, relax in the afternoon, and watch the sunset in the evening.

Where I Stayed: Santacruz Surf Camp

I stayed at a place called Santacruz Surf Camp in the village of Tamraght, just 5 minutes from Taghazout. It was exactly what I needed.

Everyone there was kind and welcoming. The surf coaches, Tayib and Ibrahim, helped us find the best waves and gave great tips in the water. Chef Samira cooked amazing Moroccan food every day. In the evenings, we had dinner on the rooftop under the stars and shared stories with people from around the world.

They offer everything you need: surf lessons, yoga, day trips to Paradise Valley, and even airport pickup if you’re staying for a few nights. You don’t have to worry about anything—they really make you feel at home.

Should You Go?

If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday with surfing, sunshine, and simple moments that make you feel good, I really recommend visiting Taghazout.

And if you want to stay somewhere warm, fun, and full of good energy, check out Santacruz Surf Camp. I arrived as a guest, but I left feeling like part of the family.
